“Curling has given me many opportunities and through them, memories and lessons I will cherish forever. Leading me to numerous national championships and an athlete of the year title, the Iqaluit Curling Club and the Nunavut Curling Association have guided me through my years of competitive curling with immeasurable support. I will always be grateful for the unforgettable experiences and countless life-lessons gifted to me by the sport and the many people that have touched my life through curling.”
“You gotta love curling! It's the Great Canadian Game! What other sport can your abilities be enhanced by team strategy, as your skill in the sport develops? What other sport allows men and women to complete together without strength being a factor? What other sport encourages camaraderie within your team and with your competitors? Well... there may be other sports that qualify, but very few take place on ice, and none are as much fun as curling! Curling is truly the Great Canadian Game, eh! "
